Our Vibe
General Sports Bar (GSB) is a locally owned sports bar and kitchen located at 50th & France in Edina, Minnesota. The menu features top-notch burgers, wings, flat breads, weekend brunch and a rotating lineup of ice-cold drinks on tap, craft cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic options. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, too.
At GSB, we treat every guest like family. Here, it’s all about good vibes, great prices, and catching the game. But it’s not just about sports. It’s about the people who make this place what it is. Built as a true neighborhood hangout, GSB is where friends meet up after work, brunch turns into long afternoons, and bartenders remember your drink order at happy hour. We take our beer seriously, pouring every pint through custom-built draft systems for a clean, cold pour every time.
With HD TVs visible from every seat, you’ll never miss a play. It’ll be all sports, all the time, both men’s and women’s, and we’ll always prioritize Minnesota teams.

It's All in the Name
Our name, General Sports Bar, brings back the nostalgia of the original General Sports store that was located on France Avenue for over 50 years. Yes — we have their approval. The owners, Marty and Brett, remember having their hockey skates sharpened in their basement and will pay homage by having skate sharpening services in the basement at GSB.
